【摘要】:ThetreatmentofthesampleasspecifiedhereinisintendedforthepurposeofdeterminingtheresidualmoisturepresentinananalysissampleofRDF.Theresidualmoisturevalueisusedtoconvertas-determinedanalysessuchasgrossheatingvalue,sulfur,andashtoadrysamplebasis.1.1ThistestmethodcoversthemeasurementoftheresidualmoistureinananalysissampleofRDF.Itisusedtocalculatetothedrybasisotherdeterminationsperformedontheanalysissample.Itisusedwiththeair-drymoistureresultstocalculatetotalmoisture(Note1).Thetotalmoistureisusedtocalculateas-receivedvaluesorotheranalysesperformedonthesample.Note18212;InsomeinstancesRDFmoisturemaychangeduringthesize-reductionstepsoftheanalysissamplepreparationprocedure.Thismoisturechange,unlesssuitablecorrectionsaremade,willaffecttheaccuracyofthetotalmoisturevalueascalculatedfromtheair-dryandresidualmoistureresults.1.2Thevaluesstatedinacceptablemetricunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.FormorespecificprecautionaryinformationseeSection7.
