【摘要】:Vaporpressureisanimportantphysicalpropertyofvolatileliquids.Thevaporpressureofgasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblendsisregulatedbyvariousgovernmentagencies.Specificationsforvolatilepetroleumproductsgenerallyincludevaporpressurelimitstoensureproductsofsuitablevolatilityperformance.ThistestmethodismoreprecisethanTestMethodD4953.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthetotalvaporpressureofair-containing,volatile,petroleumproducts.Thistestmethodissuitablefortestingsampleswithboilingpointsabove0x00B0;C(32x00B0;F)thatexertavaporpressurebetween7and172kPa(1and25psi)at37.8x00B0;C(100x00B0;F)atavapor-to-liquidratioof4:1.Thistestmethodissuitablefortestinggasolinesamplesthatcontainoxygenates.Noaccountismadeofdissolvedwaterinthesample.1.1.1Somegasoline-oxygenateblendsmayshowahazewhencooledto0to1x00B0;C.Ifahazeisobservedin8.5,itshallbeindicatedinthereportingofresults.Theprecisionandbiasstatementsforhazysampleshavenotbeendetermined(seeNote8).1.2Thistestmethodissuitableforthecalculationofadryvaporpressureequivalent(DVPE)bymeansofacorrelationequation(see13.1).ThecalculatedDVPEverycloselyapproximatesthedryvaporpressurethatwouldbeobtainedonthesamematerialwhentestedinaccordancewithTestMethodD4953.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see7.3through7.5and9.2.
